Obituary - Goodman, Lexington Herald (February 15, 1977)
James (Goody) Goodman, 60, 112 14th Street, S.E., Winterhaven Fla., died Sunday morning at the Medical Center, Macon, Ga., as a result of an automobile accident.
He was a native of Peru, Ind., a graduate of Paris City Schools and attended the University of Kentucky.
He was a veteran of World War II having served as a Captain in the Air Force.
Survived by his mother, Mrs. Harvey Johnson, Paris; daughter, Mrs. W.H. Baker, Versailles; two sons, James Jr. and John Goodman, Lexington; one brother, Joe Goodman, Paris.
Services 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hinton-Turner Funeral Home, Paris, with Rev. Charles C.K. Lawrence officiating. Interment in Paris Cemetery. Casketbearers will be A.J. Criswell, Edward Sutherland, Jeff Harlan, J.W. Duvall, B.A. Frank, Harry Boling. Visitation 4-7 p.m. today.
