Obituary - Memphis (TN) Commercial Appeal (January 15, 1989)
Parks was a director of the Sunburst Bank of Mississippi. He was past chairman of the board of deacons and a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church.
He was a Southeastern Conference basketball official for over 20 years. He was a member of the Southwest Mississippi Junior College Hall of Fame. He was past president of M Club at Mississippi College.
He leaves his wife, Maribee Walker Parks; two daughters, Mrs. Rita Hederman of Jackson and Mrs Gaye Flynt of Birmingham; a son, DeForest Parks of Iuka, and 12 grandchildren.
