Former Resident Dies
Harold F. Ofstie, 70, of Monroe, Wash., a former Eau Claire resident, died June 17 at an Everett hospital.
Mr. Ofstie was born here and attended elementary and high schools in this city. He was a member of the Wisconsin University championship football team of 1912, and was graduated from Wisconsin with a degree in civil engineering.
After graduation he was active as a coach and served as a lieutenant in the Army in World War I.
His only immediate survivor is a sister in Everett, Valborg Ofstie.
